Number One: Cesar Ruiz

Cesar Ruiz was a surprise draft pick for the New Orleans Saints fans across the world when they picked him in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, but after some review and analysis of the selection, fans quickly realized how smart of a pick this truly was.

Ruiz was dominant at Michigan in the three seasons he spent there. Ruiz played offensive guard, long snapper, and center but excelled at center the most.

In his junior season in 2019, Ruiz allowed just eight quarterback pressures in 447 snaps as the starting center. Ruiz also started 31 out of 36 games while at Michigan and proved to be a very reliable lineman.

Ruiz is one of the smartest players in NFL draft history and he will look to take over as the team’s starting center as Erik McCoy has transitioned to guard. Ruiz is a lock to make the final 53 man roster.
