Alvin Kamara

The New Orleans Saints’ superstar running back Alvin Kamara is entering his fourth season in the NFL in 2020. He’s made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons, solidifying himself as one of the NFC’s best backs.

Never truly recovering from bothersome injuries last season, Kamara played the bulk of the year at 75%.

Kamara’s struggles were clearly reflected on his numbers as he failed to his 1,500 all-purpose yards for the first time in his career. Kamara, who started just nine games in 2019, will be up for a new contract his offseason.

After seeing Titans’ Derrick Henry get extended, Kamara needs to prove his worth as a top-five running back in the NFL in order to get Henry-like money. Henry signed for about $12.5 million per year.

Kamara is an elite pass-catching back. He can do it all, and he can certainly be an asset for Brees. Oddly enough, Kamara has totaled 81 receptions in each of his three seasons with the Saints. He’ll likely be heavily utilized again this season.
