Tre’Quan Smith

After a stellar rookie season, Tre’Quan Smith relapsed last year. Originally a third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Smith put together one insane game his first year that put the entire league on notice.

That game was November 18, 2018, against the Philadelphia Eagles. He put up ten receptions for 157 yards and a touchdown. He still didn’t eclipse 500 yards that season, but the potential to be great was obvious.

Now, entering the 2020 season healthy, Smith will get another shot before his contract ends. Smith needs to both stay healthy and produce as the team’s third-string receiver. He has the speed and potential to be great, but he must show it consistently.

The 6-foot-2 Smith did have a 72% catch rate as a glimmer of hope crawled through an otherwise forgettable season. 2020 must be better, and as the fifth option in a top-tier offense, let’s hope it is.
