Number Four: Mike Burton (Fullback)

The three running backs are out of the way as I predicted Alvin Kamara, Latavius Murray, and Ty Montgomery to make the final 53-man roster. The man blocking for them out of the backfield also falls under the running back category, and it’s Mike Burton.

Following the release of Ricky Ortiz, Mike Burton is now the clear cut starting fullback for the New Orleans Saints in 2020. Burton, 28, has been around the league quite a bit since he was selected in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions.

Burton also had a brief stint with the Saints last offseason but was beat out by Zach Line for the starting job.

The Saints obviously feel confident in Burton’s abilities considering they released the only other fullback the team had on the roster in Ricky Ortiz in the first round of cuts.
