The New Orleans Saints are looking to make a competitive run at the Super Bowl in 2020, so picking the right players is a must.

The Saints will likely only keep three running backs on the roster following training camp but there is a lot of potential in the guys the team currently has.

The decisions will be extremely hard for head coach Sean Payton as he’ll try to distinguish which players have the most potential in his system.

Following the release of running back Taquan Mizzell, the Saints have five running backs currently competing for three spots. Alvin Kamara, Latavius Murray, Ty Montgomery, Dwayne Washington, and the rookie Tony Jones Jr.

This is a highly competitive battle that will likely come down until the final batch of cuts. Kamara seems to be a lock along with Murray, but after those two, who finishes the roster is truly up in the air.

That said, here’s a look at the running backs who I believe will make the Saints’ final 53-man roster.
