Number Seven: Blake Gillikin

Blake Gillikin was signed as an undrafted free agent this offseason to relieve the Saints’ starting punter in Thomas Morstead at the position during training camp and help him garner some film to help him attract interest from other teams.

Gillikin was a star at Penn State but it was evident from the moment he signed he was not going to make the final 53-man roster. He was simply a camp body who was there to keep Morstead’s legs fresh for the season.

Gillikin will surely be cut soon and will seek opportunities with another franchise. However, he should find that opportunity as he has the talent to crack a roster come Week 1.
