DE/LB, Zach Baun

Right now, the Saints’ depth chart has Zach Baun backing up not only Alex Anzalone but also Marcus Davenport in a myraid of potential roles. The combo defensive end and linebacker is going to be of huge value to the Saints’ organization.

The rookie from the University of Wisconsin is destined to get some time with starting with the Saints this year. Last season, Anzalone missed the whole season and Davenport missed a chunk due to injury.

Backing up the two of them, Baun is going to see some field time. However, is it going to be his first time in a game situation with the Saints when he has to come in after an injury and make an impact on the defense?

The Saints traded up to get Baun in the third round of the draft. He is going to hurt from a lack of the preseason because he is going to get no headstart into what the NFL is like in his position. Especially backing up two injury-prone Saints.
