3 New Orleans Saints newcomers who will surprise in 2020

Ty Montgomery is not the average player. His most likely comparison to any Saints player would be Taysom Hill. I fully believe that Ty Montgomery will be a better Swiss Army knife in Sean Payton’s arsenal than Hill is currently.

How about that for a surprise. Now, Montgomery doesn’t have quite the stature that Hill does. He only stands at 6-foot-0, 216 pounds compared to Hill who is 6-foot-2, 221 pounds. It isn’t that far off, but it’s comparable.

Their stats are also quite comparable. The biggest difference is Hill did those stats with the Saints, Montgomery did those stats with the New York Jets, a far-far less superior team all-around to the Saints.

For that reason, I think that when you give him the team around him like the Saints, his stats will go way up and Montgomery will become the “better Hill” in less than a year. That is why he will be a surprise newcomer.
