Jameis Winston, QB

Who else in the NFL can claim that their backup quarterback threw for over 5,000 yards last season? No one can. Who can claim that their backup quarterback threw for over 30 touchdowns? No one can.

No one — except the Saints. Yes, I know everyone’s rebuttal to those two stats is for you to say “well he also threw for 30 interceptions.” I do acknowledge that, but you also have to look 1) at his offensive line and 2) at this coaching staff.

Two very vital elements that play into that 30 interception stat. Also, two elements that the New Orleans Saints have vastly better than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his former team. Everyone will be Winston believers after this year.

You might not see the improved Winston until Brees retires at the end of the season unless Brees gets hurt, but you best believe that he is going to be one of the biggest surprises to come to New Orleans this year.
