Number One: His Leadership

Demario Davis is not only a great football player; he is also a great human. When Drew Brees went down with a thumb injury in week two of the 2019 regular season, Demario Davis stepped right up and conquered the leadership role on the team.

Davis would motivate his New Orleans Saints’ teammates before they took the field, a role Drew Brees always fulfills when he takes the field. Davis was welcomed with open arms to fill that role and he definitely did not disappoint.

You can’t put a price tag on leadership and Davis proved that in 2019. There was not a word that came out of Davis’ mouth that he did not mean, and the passion he plays with is inspiring to his teammates.

The Saints desperately needed their anchor of the defense to be a leader, and Davis did just that.
