Number Three: Marcus Davenport

Marcus Davenport has all the potential to be one of the best defensive ends in the NFL if he could prove to be more consistent and stay on the football field.

Davenport, 23, hasn’t had the injury history of a guy like Sheldon Rankins, but missing out on six games in two seasons will hurt your stat sheet.

The break out potential is there as we witnessed Davenport drastically improve from his rookie season to his sophomore season. Davenport improved on nearly every category statistically which leaves us to believe he can do so yet again in 2020.

Over the span of two seasons, Davenport has split time with other players but still has managed to record 53 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, 28 quarterback hits, 10.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and two passes defended.

Davenport is a naturally gifted pass rusher, and if he can hone in his abilities to get to the quarterback, he could be one of the best edge defenders in the NFL.
