Clay Matthews

A former six-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro team member, Matthews has quite the resume to his name.

He’s a free agent, and while he’s aging, Matthews still has something to give to an organization. Currently 34, Matthews could have a few more years in him if he wants to continue his career in the league.

Matthews played the bulk of his 11-year career with the Packers where he recorded four double-digit sack seasons. This past season, Matthews played and started 13 games with the Los Angeles Rams.

There, he had 8 sacks, 37 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 11 quarterback hits, and 2 forced fumbles. For an aging linebacker, those are quite the numbers, and the Saints could certainly use Matthews on the opposite side of Davis.

Davis and Anzalone could be the starting outside linebackers right now, but Matthews would come in and deliver a strong presence on the field.
