Five Saints who could be cut before they take a snap in 2020

Number Two: Kiko Alonso
Kiko Alonso is a linebacker for the New Orleans Saints and has had a great NFL career. Although he has had a great career, he is coming off a torn ACL that ended his season with the Saints in 2019 and it’s not even the first torn ACL of his career.
Alonso has torn his ACL multiple times in his NFL career and is going to be 30 before the start of the regular season which is a pretty defining age in the NFL these days.
The Saints also brought in some fresh legs at the linebacker position including Zack Baun from Wisconsin and Joe Bachie Jr. from Michigan State. Those two young linebackers are extremely talented and could easily replace the aging Alonso.
If you collaborate the facts that Alonso is pushing age 30, he’s in the final year of his contract, he’s coming off another torn ACL, and that the Saints brought in fresh legs at the same position as Alonso, it’s almost a guarantee that they don’t see much of a future with Kiko Alonso in the Big Easy.
