The Verdict

Overall, the Saints have average cornerback depth at best and should really look into adding another quality player in the secondary.

There are still a number of unsigned free agents that can no doubt help put this problem to rest, some of which include Darqueze Dennard, Dre Kirkpatrick, Aqib Talib, and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

The talent is there if they want to go out and get it.

Keep in mind that the Saints still have around $8 million in cap space as of right now and can still make something happen. Don’t put anything past general manager Mickey Loomis as he will undoubtedly make a big move before the season starts for the right price.

It seems like adding one more quality cornerback will be the final piece to the puzzle that will help the Saints make a serious run at the Lombardi trophy this upcoming season.
