Do the Saints have enough quality cornerback depth?

Patrick Robinson

Robinson has truly been a disappointment in his second stint with the Saints.

After becoming one of the best slot cornerbacks in the NFL in 2017, helping the Philadelphia Eagles win their first Super Bowl, Robinson has yet again struggled to stay healthy and play well in a Saints uniform.

In 2018, he signed a 4-year, 20-million dollar contract with the Saints and has yet to live up to the deal. So much so that he was forced to take a pay cut this offseason:

Last season, Robinson was used in a very limited role, registering only 15 tackles and 2 passes defended in 11 games.

It seems the coaches have lost all faith in Robinson, and he’ll need to have a very strong training camp to even make the team this season. Here’s to hoping he can finally put it all together in New Orleans and give the Saints some much-needed depth.
