Demario Davis (LB)

The linebacking core for the New Orleans Saints is the thinnest position on the team. For all three linebacking positions, there is basically one backup — Craig Robertson. Zach Baun was a nice addition, but I don’t think he is as ready as he should be.

With that being the case, it is definitely a priority that Demario Davis not get injured this year. Davis was the cornerstone of the middle defense last season. He ended the year being voted to the first-team All-Pro.

He recorded 111 tackles (12 of them for a loss), 4.5 sacks, 12 passes defended, one interception, and nine hits on the quarterback. Obviously, you can see that Davis is the one linebacker the Saints can’t afford to lose.

If he continues to put up those numbers, Davis could have another All-Pro and maybe Pro-Bowl year. He needs to continue to be the veteran leader in the middle of the defense, that is why he in unexpendable.
