Number One: His Versatility

Ty Montgomery will be bringing his versatility into one of the trickiest offenses in the NFL. Montgomery can play multiple positions including wide receiver, running back, and kick returner. Not only can Montgomery play those positions, but he can play them very well.

Montgomery has had a successful career thus far.

In 58 career games, Montgomery has 224 rush attempts, 1,035 rushing yards, 45 rushing first downs, and seven rushing touchdowns. Montgomery also has 120 receptions, 982 receiving yards, 44 receiving first downs, and three receiving touchdowns.

Finally, Montgomery has 53 career kick returns where he logged 1,158 yards averaging out to 21.8 yards per return.

Montgomery could be used in a variety of roles in Sean Payton’s offense and a strong offseason could propel him to a significant role in the offense.
