Number Three: Ben Watson

Ben Watson is a former New Orleans Saints tight end who played a combined four seasons with the team. Watson is your stereotypical lunch pail kind of player; he always works his tail off and always puts up consistent numbers without getting much love for it.

Watson had a great NFL career and last played for the New England Patriots in 2019. In his 15-year career, Watson posted 547 receptions, 6,058 receiving yards, an 11.1 yards per reception average, and 44 touchdowns.

Watson has always held himself to a high standard and is a very well respected player across the league.

Much like Rob Gronkowski, Watson had originally retired back in 2018 but opted to return to the NFL and play another year.

Adding Ben Watson to the Saints’ tight end group would provide them with one of Drew Brees’ favorite targets, a Super Bowl Champion, and a mentor to the young Adam Trautman.
