3 New Orleans Saints primed for a breakout season in 2020

No. 1 Adam Trautman
There’s something about Adam Trautman, the Saint’s third-round draft pick, that seems to scream “I am going to be way better at football than most people think.”
Mr. Trautman, let me tell you, I won’t be surprised.
And any fan reading this shouldn’t be either.
It’s no secret that coach Payton has been looking for a tight end to call his own, someone to replace the massive hole in his heart that formed the minute Mickey Loomis sent Jimmy Graham packing.
He may have found him. Trautman is a whopping 6-foot-5 255-pound touchdown machine. His route running needs to be polished, yes, but his hands are a sure thing.
Barring a monster training camp performance, don’t expect any starting nods from Trautman in 2020, but don’t be surprised to see him worked into the offense early and often as the Saints hope to groom him quickly.
