Number One: He Looks Up To Drew Brees

In an interview I conducted with Kansas quarterback Carter Stanley, I asked which players he tries to model his game after.

Stanley responded with: “Well there’s a couple — my trainer and I have been watching a lot of film on John Elway’s technique, and I think he’s awesome. I’d also say Drew Brees, definitely Drew Brees.”

He also went on to say that it would be “pretty incredible” to play under Drew Brees and Sean Payton.

Stanley, a 6-foot-2, 198-pound signal-caller originally from Florida would obviously be willing to play for any team but mentioned how awesome it would be to suit up in the black and gold.

Stanley would prove to be a great backup to Drew Brees and would surely be able to compete with Taysom Hill for the starting job in 2021.
