Joe Bachie Jr: Michigan State

Joe Bachie Jr is a 6-foot-2, 231-pound linebacker who played his college football at Michigan State University.

Bachie had a solid performance at the 2020 NFL Combine.

Bachie ran a 4.67 forty yard dash, 4.34 20 yard shuttle, and a 6.93 three-cone drill. Bachie also performed well in other physical tests, banging out 26 bench press reps, jumping 33.5 inches on the vertical jump, and leaping 119 inches during the broad jump.

The former Spartan had a very good career with his college team.

Bachie logged 285 total tackles, 133 solo tackles, 28 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumbles recovered, 11 passes defended, and five interceptions. He showed his abilities to hit hard and play well in coverage.

The Saints desperately need to add some young talent to the linebacker corps as every linebacker on the current roster will need a new contract following the upcoming season. Adding a competitive, hard-hitting linebacker like Joe Bachie Jr will help ease the pain next year.
