WR, Tre’Quan Smith

The wide receiver core for the New Orleans Saints, outside of Michael Thomas, was just pitiful last season. Tre’Quan Smith saw some game time early in the season and late in the season when he was healthy.

However, he never really did make much of that time. Last year, Smith only caught 18 passes for 234 yards and 5 touchdowns. Those aren’t bad numbers, but it took him 11 games to put those up for the season.

That averages out to be 1.6 receptions per game, 21.3 receiving yards per game, and 0.5 touchdowns per game. When you look at the averages, his numbers look bleak and dismal, to say the least.

Tre’Quan Smith is going to have to step his game up if he wants to continue to have a spot on this team. They just signed Emmanuel Sanders to a contract so he slid down to the No. 3 receiver. If he wants to keep from falling even more, he is going to have to prove that he belongs here.
