Not everyone’s job on the New Orleans Saints roster is safe from year to year, there are always players on the coaches’ hot seat.

The New Orleans Saints are yet again going to open the 2020 season as early Super Bowl favorites. Although the NFC South improved tremendously this offseason, the Saints should still be the favorite to reign over their division.

To be a star on that caliber of a team takes more pressure than playing on the average mediocre team. The Saints have a high standard for success.

The New Orleans Saints have no room for players to year-after-year be average and not get better in their own talents and for the team overall. Every team has a hot seat and every coach has a dog house — that includes the Saints and Sean Payton.

Players that have been drafted in recent seasons like Erik McCoy and Marcus Davenport must continue to succeed or find themselves in a situation to potentially be traded.

Sean Payton has some names in his mind of players that should be in his dog house or on his hot seat in this season that is going to have to prove themselves going forward. Here are the top three players on the “hot seat” this season.
