Brandon Aiyuk, Arizona State

In a draft where the wide receiver class is so deep, it is really hurting the New Orleans Saints not having a second-round pick. Therefore, the need to trade up from the third round to the second round is pertinent.

Brandon Aiyuk is a mid-second-round pick that could end up being an Alvin Kamara type of pick. He has the ceiling to explode onto the scene and become the No. 2 receiver in New Orleans next to Michael Thomas despite having Sanders.

Aiyuk has shown late bursts up the draft boards into the second round. Even if it wasn’t Aiyuk, the Saints still need to find their way into the second round to take advantage of the first-round talent being acquired in the second round.

With the comp that they’re looking forward to next season, it wouldn’t be crazy to go ahead and couple two third-round picks to move up into the second round for another threat on the edge.

The New Orleans Saints have a history with selected draft picks at the right time and always the right player. Could either one of these three players be someone the front office is eyeing down to trade up in the draft for?
