Number Two: Eric Allen

Eric Allen is a cornerback who played for the New Orleans Saints from 1995 through 1997.

Allen, who had a stellar career with the Philadelphia Eagles before joining the Saints, did not spend a long time in New Orleans but still played at a very high level.

Allen, a six-time Pro Bowler, played in and started all 48 games that he could have played. He totaled 160 tackles, 137 solo tackles, and five interceptions during his three-year stint with the Saints.

Allen had a dominant NFL career, primarily with the Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders, but nonetheless still cracks the top three list of the best of the best to wear the number 21 for the New Orleans Saints.

Allen helped provide stable play at the safety position during his tenure in New Orleans and played well in the black and gold.
