Leadership

As stated before, Dre Kirkpatrick has spent eight-years in the NFL. That is more than Marshon Lattimore and Jenkins was drafted in the same year. Kirkpatrick, who played all eight years in Cincinnati, played in over ten games in all but two seasons.

His rookie season and last season were the only two exceptions. His rookie season he played in five games and started zero. Last season, he played in six and started six and was injured the remainder of the year.

Either way, the eight-year veteran experience that Dre Kirkpatrick brings to the table should not be overlooked. The key to this relationship working out though is how much money Kirkpatrick is going to demand from teams.

As many media noted, even after a tough loss, Kirkpatrick was always a top professional, answering questions and standing by his locker. He didn’t fear the media, and he didn’t fear the hard questions.

That’s what a leader does, and that’s one reason New Orleans should at least look into signing him.
