Round Four: #130 Overall

Following the selection of Chase Claypool and Josh Jones, the Saints should look to beef up their defense a little bit. In the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, I have the Saints selecting Michigan State linebacker Joe Bachie Jr.

Joe Bachie Jr is a 6-foot-2, 231-pound linebacker.

Bachie, 21, played as the middle linebacker on the Spartans defense and was wildly productive. In his four year career, Bachie tallied 285 tackles, 28 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, five interceptions, eleven passes defended, four forced fumbles, and two fumbles recovered.

Bachie has great power and seeks contact. He is excellent at absorbing contact and shredding blocks to make a play on the football. Bachie is also a very powerful and willing blitzer. He also provides excellent pressure to opposing quarterbacks.

Drating Backie Jr. to give depth to an oft-injured Saints linebacking corp seems like a match made in heaven.
