New Orleans Saints seven-round 2020 NFL Mock Draft 1.0

Round One: #24 Overall
With the 24th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select . . . Josh Jones, an offensive tackle from Houston.
This isn’t a sexy pick, but it’s a great one. At this point in the mock draft, the best wide receivers were off the board and so were Kenneth Murray and Patrick Queen. Josh Jones is a top-20 pick on most draft boards so the Saints are in a position to simply draft the best player available.
Jones, a 6-foot-5, 311-pound offensive tackle would be a solid pick.
Jones is an impressively athletic offensive tackle who has fluid feet and a powerful punch at the point of attack. Terron Armstead is approaching 30 and has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career.
Armstead has been in the NFL since 2013 and has missed 37 games in his career. Drafting Josh Jones could open up trade possibilities for Terron Armstead who is a two-time Pro-Bowler and widely regarded as one of the better offensive tackles when he’s healthy.
Pairing Jones alongside Ryan Ramczyk gives the Saints a young pair of offensive tackles for years to come.
