New Orleans Saints: 3 reasons why Malcolm Jenkins is an upgrade
Number Three: His Productiveness
Malcolm Jenkins has been extremely productive throughout his entire career.
Jenkins has career numbers that are absolutely mind-boggling. In eleven seasons, Jenkins has 874 tackles, 41 tackles for a loss, 27 quarterback hits, ten sacks, 18 forced fumbles, 11 fumbles recovered, 95 passes defended, 17 interceptions, and seven defensive touchdowns.
In 2019, at age 32, Jenkins was still one of the more productive safeties in the NFL, playing all 16 games while totaling 81 tackles, six tackles for a loss, nine quarterback hits, two and a half sacks, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovered, and eight passes defended.
Jenkins had a minuscule 6.9 missed tackle percentage and only allowed 6.3 yards per target in 2019. The three-time Pro Bowler also blitzed 75 times accumulating two and a half sacks, three hurries, five quarterback knockdowns, and twelve pressures.
Jenkins makes his presence known and will look to carry his success back to the big easy yet again.
