New Orleans Saints: 3 reasons why Malcolm Jenkins is an upgrade

Number Two: His Leadership
Malcolm Jenkins has been a team captain for the majority of his career and is widely regarded as one of the best leaders in the NFL.
His leadership dates back to college days where at Ohio State Jenkins was a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. He was the vice president, step master, and chaplain of the Ohio State chapter.
Malcolm Jenkins has always been known as a guy who will not only motivate you to perform better but will also perform well himself.
Jenkins will bring a bit of mentorship role with him to New Orleans, a team that started to see things change for the better under the mentorship of linebacker Demario Davis.
Having both Malcolm Jenkins and Demario Davis on the same defense is not only great athletically for the Saints, but it’s also great mentally.
Both were willing to accept fines in order to express their faith or protest in order to bring awareness to their cause. Malcolm Jenkins will add a level of leadership to the Saints defense and will help mentor young guys like Marshon Lattimore and Marcus Williams.
