New Orleans Saints: 3 reasons why Malcolm Jenkins is an upgrade

Number One: His Flexibility
Malcolm Jenkins has proven he can play anywhere in his NFL career and he was actually drafted originally as a cornerback.
The former first-round pick has played snaps at four different defensive positions in his NFL career including linebacker, free safety, strong safety, and cornerback. Jenkins has even played a few offensive snaps and has produced on special teams as well.
Malcolm Jenkins is a plug-and-play type of player and is always willing to do what needs to be done in order to help the team win games. Jenkins, 32, is a sure tackler which is an area of need for the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints struggles with tackling down the stretch and especially in the playoffs last year, which ultimately cost them a first-round exit in the 2020 Wild Card round. Jenkins hasn’t missed a game (or a start) since 2013 and has always been a physical and reliable player even as he aged.
Malcolm Jenkins’ flexibility to play anywhere on the defense and willingness to do so adds a factor most NFL players don’t have.
