New Orleans Saints: 3 reasons why Malcolm Jenkins is an upgrade

It was announced on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, that former New Orleans Saints safety would be returning to the organization. 

The New Orleans Saints are no strangers to bringing back their former players for another stint with the team as they’ve done so with Patrick Robinson, Jahri Evans, and Chase Daniel to name a few. Now, they’ll be bringing back Malcolm Jenkins.

The Saints needed to add a veteran presence to the rather young defense they have, and Malcolm Jenkins fills that role better than anyone else on the free-agent market.

New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton has not been shy in regards to his mistake on letting Jenkins walk the first time around and he is pleased, to say the least, to have his guy back in the Big Easy.

Malcolm Jenkins brings more to the table than just being a good football player. That said, here are three reasons why Malcolm Jenkins is an upgrade at the safety position for the New Orleans Saints.
