Marquise Goodwin

Marquise Goodwin has played with the San Fransisco 49ers since the 2017 season. He showed flashes of incredible skill during that year with the team. He hauled in 56 passes for almost 1,000 yards and two touchdowns.

Since then, Goodwin hasn’t caught over 25 passes in a season or elapsed 400 yards in a season. Over the course of the last two years, Goodwin has severely underperformed since the showing he gave in 2017.

That might be why the San Fransisco 49ers are so active in trying to shop him around, especially with the addition of star wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders from the Broncos late last year. Along with that, rookie Deebo Samuel has risen to the No. 2 receiver.

Because of that, Goodwin has become expendable to the Niners. The New Orleans Saints, who are in desperate need of a No. 2 receiver, should take advantage of the fact that the Niners really don’t want him or his contract anymore.
