Number One: Robert Meachem

Wide receiver Robert Meachem was drafted 27th overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 2007 NFL Draft.

Meachem was a member of the New Orleans Saints from 2007 until 2011 and then again in 2013-2014. He was never a superstar, but he was always productive playing 88 games in a Saints uniform.

In those 88 games, Meachem hauled in 164 receptions for 2,707 yards and 25 touchdowns while averaging 16.5 yards per reception. Meachem also accounted for 110 first downs and only fumbled twice in his career.

Meachem was the sure-handed, reliable target Drew Brees used alongside Marques Colston in the glory days. He even helped the Saints win a Super Bowl, the first and still only title in franchise history.

Due to Meachem being a stellar team player and reliable target, he checks in as the best player in New Orleans Saints history to wear the No. 17 for the team.
