3 reasons the New Orleans Saints should trade for Marquise Goodwin

No. 2: Saints need to add quality guys for cheap
Marquise Goodwin is probably the best, cheap talent on the market right now.
Goodwin is set to enter his second year of a three-year deal and is owed just $3.95 million in 2020 and $5.3 million in 2021.
Kyle Shanahan said “we wouldn’t release Marquise, he’s too valuable.” Meaning, Goodwin is simply the odd man out in a great receiving corps in San Francisco, and the 49ers will likely take what they can get for him.
The former track star is about as quality as they come. In his 75 career games, Goodwin has 140 receptions, 2,323 yards, 13 receiving touchdowns, and a 16.6 yards per reception average. Goodwin has also ran the ball 15 times for 89 yards and has 468 total return yards.
His lack of eye-popping stats (aside from his 16.6 yards per catch average), age, and current wide receiver situation in San Francisco should make him a relatively easy player to acquire and the upside he would bring to the New Orleans Saints is greater than his current on-field skill set.
