New Orleans Saints: Top 3 players in team history to wear No. 10

Number Two: Chase Daniel
Chase Daniel was a New Orleans Saints quarterback from 2009 to 2012 and once again in 2017. Daniel has always been the backup to Drew Brees in his career, but he was always great camp competition to keep Brees competitive.
Daniel came into the league as an undrafted free agent who was signed by the Washington Redskins following an incredible college career at the University of Missouri where Daniel was a Heisman Trophy finalist twice.

The Saints claimed Daniel off the Redskins’ waivers following his release from the team. Daniel was a backup quarterback to Drew Brees and won a Super Bowl with the Saints in the 2009-10 season.
Daniel rarely played as a member of the Saints, but when he did, he completed seven of his nine passes for 54 yards. His playing time was only ever as relief appearances late in games.
Drew Brees and Chase Daniel were and still are very good friends as they practically lived with each other during the years they were on the Saints.
Daniel was a great team player and raised the level of competition when he was in New Orleans which is why he ranks as the second-best player to wear the number ten in Saints’ history. Daniel also has the potential to make a return to the Big Easy this offseason.
Keep an eye on that situation.
