Number Three: Steve Weatherford

Steve Weatherford was the New Orleans Saints punter from 2006 to 2008.

He was not a New Orleans Saint for long, but he was effective in his time. He played well in a Saints uniform, being a reliable punter while averaging just over 44 yards per punt, and he ran the ball for a fifteen-yard first down as well as recorded a few tackles.

Weatherford won a Super Bowl with the New York Giants.

In 2013, Weatherford led the NFC in punts with 91 and punt yardage with 4,271. His career numbers were very good: 678 punts, 30,159 punt yards, 44.5 punt average, 211 punts inside the 20-yard line, and a career-long of 71 yards.

Weatherford was replaced by Thomas Morstead, one of the best punters in NFL history, otherwise, his career in New Orleans likely would have been longer.
