The New Orleans Saints have had many great players in the history of their franchise, but how many have worn the number of perfection, seven.

Based off the impact of the next three players, it will be hard to argue that jersey number seven was worn by some of the most athletic, intriguing players in the New Orleans Saints long NFL history.

Number One: Morten Andersen

Morten Andersen served as the New Orleans Saints kicker from 1982 through 1994 and became known as one of the best kickers in NFL history. Andersen, a seven-time pro bowler, holds numerous NFL records.

Andersen was a five-time first-team All-Pro selection and was also voted to the NFL’s 1980s and 1990s all-decade teams. Andersen made 565 out of 709 field-goal attempts in his career which is good for just under 80 percent.

He also hit 849 of his 859 extra-point attempts. His 2,544 career points scored used to be an NFL record. Andersen became one of the first true superstars on the Saints giving them an elite talent they arguably never had before.

Morten Andersen was selected into the 2017 NFL Hall of Fame to cement his legacy forever.
