P.J. Williams

Current contract: $2.25 million

Projected free agency contract: $3 million

Compensatory Draft pick: 7th round pick

Current Replacement: Patrick Robinson

P.J. Williams is a fourth-year cornerback that started eight of 14 games he appeared in this season. The other two games that he missed came from a league suspension for a DUI he received early this season.

That will end up hurting his value at least in this free agency market, however, teams just aren’t lining up to sign cornerbacks like P.J. Williams who specialize in the slot. There is a good chance Williams will end up back with the Saints.

But, there could be a team out there willing to pay the cornerback more than the New Orleans Saints are forcing him to take his talents elsewhere. Hopefully, if he returns, he will be called on to play more than he did this year.
