Janoris Jenkins

Janoris Jenkins was signed just a few weeks ago by the New Orleans Saints because of the lack of depth in the cornerback position. Picked up off of the waivers, no one knew how he would perform come time to actually play in the game. However, Jenkins proved his worth.

Janoris was tied for second on the team in total tackles and combined tackles. On top of that, Jenkins added an interception against the Panthers last week. With Eli Apple playing at an all-time low in terms of performance, this signing was needed.

Jenkins should be able to jump Apple on the depth chart no matter if he is healthy or not. Jenkins proved that he is a better player still then Apple is. Putting Jenkins across from Lattimore should be able to strengthen the weakened Saints’ secondary.

The New Orleans Saints have locked in the No. 3 seed with the Green Bay win and San Francisco win so they will face the No. 6 Vikings in the first round of the playoffs.

These players will need to continue to step up and play big minutes for the Saints to have a shot at the Super Bowl.
