Looking ahead toward the NFL Draft, could LSU  superstar Joe Burrow be the replacement the New Orleans Saints have been seeking?

The New Orleans Saints have a superstar, future-Hall of Fame quarterback in Drew Brees. No one is denying that. However, could the draft be the place that the Saints find his replacement? and is it time to start thinking about grooming a replacement for Brees?

Let’s not too quickly forget the story of Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers was drafted in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, who currently had aging Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre. Rodgers, who is now one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, sat as a backup to Favre from 2005-2008.

After Rodgers had gone through his “grooming period,” he started for the Green Bay Packers and has since led them to Super Bowl victory — where he won the MVP. He has been in eight Pro-Bowls and has two NFL MVP awards since then.

What I am trying to say is that Burrow could be the New Orleans Saints Aaron Rodgers. If the Saints could trade up to get Burrow, he could spend the last few years Brees has left, learning from him before taking over the team for himself.

A talent like Joe Burrow does not come around frequently, that is why the New Orleans Saints need to act now. Here are three potential trade spots to move up to, to be able to draft the star quarterback out of LSU.
