The New Orleans Saints seemingly had Antonio Brown in for a workout, and they may sign the four-time All-Pro receiver with a rough history.

The New Orleans Saints are gearing up for the playoff run of the decade. The last time they had a team that was predicted to do this well in the playoffs was 2009 when the Saints won the Super Bowl last.

Now, they are looking to add a little more depth and talent to one of the weakest depth positions on the team-wide receiver. Outside of Michael Thomas, the New Orleans Saints do not have a stand out No. 2 wide receiver.

Technically, Ted Ginn, Jr. or Trequan Smith is in that position, but neither has lived up to the expectation of what is expected out of a No. 2 WR. In step, free agent Antonio Brown. Brown was released from the Patriots early into his 2019 campaign.

The troublesome wide receiver has yet to find a home, until now. Speculation is that his next home will be in the great state of Louisiana. The New Orleans Saints had Brown in for a workout today which could turn into his signing in the next couple of days.

This would be a fantastic addition for the defunct Saints wide receiving core. It would give Thomas an opposite-field threat opening him up more. It would give Brees another target that can get open easily. It sounds like a win-win for everyone.

The only question we have is, “Can Antonio Brown keep his head on his shoulders?” The Sean Payton led organization should be able to help with that much like the Patriots did. Here are three reasons the Saints should look to sign Antonio Brown.
