Monday night, December 17, 2019, will go down in history in NFL football. Drew Brees broke a Manning record, and the New Orleans Saints routed the Colts.

The New Orleans Saints are one step closer to the No. 1 overall seed after a demolishing of the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football.

Even though they will remain the No. 3 seed in the NFC, they are still tied with the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and Green Bay Packers.

The 11-3 record they all share is good enough to change around the tiebreaking situation (because there are more than two teams tied), leaving New Orleans as the No. 3 seed.

Monday Night against the Indianapolis Colts, once again proved that the Saints deserve to be where they are. They were working a shut out until the final minutes of the fourth quarter when all of the Saints’ defensive starters were resting.

The Saints only led by three after the first quarter, but the second quarter flood gates opened as the Saints scored 17 unanswered points. The third quarter saw two more touchdowns from the Saints, now leading 34-0.

The Colts scored their lone touchdown in the fourth quarter after the New Orleans Saints’ second string took over. Jordan Wilkins rushed in from a few yards out. The final was 34-7 in a dynamic display.

Let’s look at one historical stud and two other studs in this demolishing victory.
