San Francisco 49ers

The question with the 49ers is “What is this defense not good at?”

The team from California has proved to be one of if not the best defense in the entire NFL. Stat-wise they might be the best. However, last Sunday showed that the 49ers do have a weakness and are able to be beaten on the defensive side of the ball.

Currently, the 49ers rank the best in yards per game, only giving up 250.9 total yards per game. They have caused opponents to cough up 22 fumbles and recovered 13 of those fumbles. They give up 15.2 points per game (2nd best in the NFL) and opponents have a 28% 3rd down percentage (also 2nd best in the NFL).

Last week against the Baltimore Ravens, the 49ers only tallied one singular sack and only two tackles for a loss. They hit Jackson only two times and caused one fumble. It was a very mediocre outing, to say the least, especially from the supposed best defense in the NFL.

They will be looking to bounce back against the Saints this week.
