Cam Newton could cost less than keeping Teddy Bridgewater.

Cam Newton is currently ending a 5-year, $103.8 million contract that he signed in 2015.

With the future payout of the 2015 NFL MVP up in the air, how much exactly is Cam Newton worth? I would argue that he will sign a contract that is less overall money than Teddy Bridgewater will this offseason.

Obviously, when Cam Newton penned that $100-million contract, he was in the midst of an MVP season. He won’t touch that amount this time around. However, his desire is to win and he will look for a winning culture. The New Orleans Saints have that culture.

Cam Newton’s career in Carolina is all but wrapped up. The only question that remains is when will his departure be and where will he go.

The New Orleans Saints would be a heavenly destination spot for Cam Newton. The opportunity to spend a year or two under Drew Brees and then take over the Sean Payton led team would be the best opportunity for the Newton.

Newton still has prime left in him and after this offseason foot surgery, he will be back to health and ready to dominate come the 2020 season.
