Big plays

The New Orleans Saints gave up a 51-yard pass from Kyle Allen to D.J. Moore on Sunday against the Panthers for their first touchdown of the game. They also gave a crucial 52-yard strike in the third quarter that led to a touchdown that drive.

The game before against Tampa Bay, they gave up a 30-yard touchdown throw to Chris Godwin.

The defense is not the only side of the ball that gives up big plays. A few short weeks ago, the Chicago Bears gave up a 102-yard kickoff return touchdown to Cordarrelle Patterson. That is the special teams giving up big plays too.

The Saints also let the Panthers running back Christian McCaffery run for 64 yards and a touchdown and catch nine balls for 69 yards and another touchdown. DJ. Moore caught 12 balls for 126 yards and two touchdowns.

Giving up those types of big games is not going to be in the favor of the New Orleans Saints.

In no way am I suggesting that the Saints are not the best team in the NFC. I still believe that they are a legitimate contender for the best team in the entire NFL.

But with every team, there are weaknesses that need to be addressed and the Carolina Panthers showed the New Orleans Saints some of theirs.
