Penalties

According to nflpenalties.com, the New Orleans Saints are the 9th most penalized team in the entire National Football League. That is insane. They have given up a total of 644 yards on 86 penalties through the first 11 games of the season.

The leader Cleveland only has 94 penalties. The Saints are close to being the most penalized team in the league.

Obviously, this could be a game-changer.

On the other side of the ball, the opponents that play the Saints are amongst the least penalized in football.

All opponents put together have only been penalized 60 times. That is second only to Baltimore (57) for the least penalized team against. Penalties have been a major influencer on the Saints sideline.

From the 9th most penalties against the 2nd least penalties of opposing teams, it is just all-around a mess.

The New Orleans Saints also lead the way in Net Penalties (penalties against minus opposing team penalties against) with a -26 net. The Saints also lead the entire NFL in Net yards from penalties with -230 yards.

When it all comes down to it, the New Orleans Saints are the 7th most in the NFL in total flags thrown towards.
