Alvin Kamara

This is always a shock when Kamara’s name could have a case for the “dud” list, but so it goes. To be fair, he wasn’t completely contained, but Kamara certainly fell short of the lofty standards set on him.

Kamara did not have a game worth remembering in terms of the player we are used to. He carried the ball for 11 times but tallied 10 fewer yards than Murray did on seven carries.

As stated in his fantasy article posted prior to the game, his performance was saved by the way he catches out of the backfield.

He did end up receiving nine balls for 48 yards in the air. That makes up for the lack of rushing we’ve seen out of him in a previous couple of games. The gameplan for the Saints should be to continue to throw the ball to Kamara more than run it to him.

At halftime, Kamara only had six yards. He also had only one catch. He was pretty much worthless in the first half of Sunday’s game. The second half wasn’t much better until the final drive of the game when caught four of his nine receptions and ran for nine of his 54 yards.

The last drive salvaged an otherwise unnormal game from Alvin Kamara.
