A flowing offense

The New Orleans are finding their flow offensively, and they’ll be doing so right in time to take on a powerful Carolina front. The Panthers are tied for the most sacks in the league, and with Andrus Peat out, they’ll need to continue that.

The Saints are in a prime position to dominate on that side of the ball as they can easily neutralize a quality line. They do that by getting superstars Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas the ball quickly.

Kamara has always been listed as a running back, but he’s also one of the best pass-catchers in the entire NFL. He totaled ten receptions last week and has been a force in the passing game ever since his arrival in New Orleans.

The Panthers give up the 19th-most passing yards per game at 233.6. Although they have a stacked defensive line that gets to the quarterback, they aren’t great at defending the run, a bottom-ten team in rushing yards allowed.

Latavius Murray, who feasted with Kamara sidelined, may get some more run as the team’s typical ground-and-pound back. Both backs should be able to carve up the defense. Combine it with an in-stride Drew Brees, and there’s no reason to believe this offense will be held under 30.
