Leadership

In Dallas, Dez Bryant was the No. 1 receiver for a number of years. He has built up that reputation and developed a skillset that had many admiring him as the best in the league for a short period of time.

After multiple Pro-Bowls, All-Pros, and more, the Dallas Cowboys organization is forever in the debt of Dez Bryant. After spending so many years with one team, that is the natural order of life to take a leadership position like that.

In New Orleans, yes, Michael Thomas is a Pro-Bowl wide receiver, but do not forget that he is also only in his fourth year. Dez Bryant would bring a dynamic to this receiving core that would boost the leadership potential of Michael Thomas and help grow Tre’Quan Smith and Keith Kirkwood.

Not to mention he’d most likely be a more realiable target as both Smith and Kirkwood have missed the majority of the season. Staying on the field and bringing a veteran presence is something unique to Bryant that cannot be found elsewhere on the free agent market.
